The Philips PureProtect Quiet 2200 Series (AC2220/60) is available at ₹18,999 on the official Philips India site. It is the brand's headline purifier in India right now, while other models in the range are out of stock.
Its positioning is built around quietness and spec transparency. At 13 dB in sleep mode, it is among the quietest purifiers at this price point. Philips India also publishes CADR, decibels, wattage, warranty, and test references on the product page itself.

Our read on the score
16/20 puts the AC2220 among the highest-scoring machines in this case study series, equal to the Coway AirMega 150. The Philips has a higher CADR, lower sleep noise, app connectivity, and a longer filter-life claim; the Coway 150 has a washable pre-filter.
The published numbers are genuinely strong: 420 m³/h CADR at ₹18,999, 13 dB sleep mode, 28W maximum power, and an explicit no-ions/no-ozone statement. That is unusually clear for the India market.
The practical gaps are room-sizing and filter-related. The 50 m² claim should not be read as 5 ACH coverage for Indian homes. The pre-filter is not separately washable, and the FY2200/30 replacement filter has no listed India price. All three are worth resolving before purchase.
The two coverage figures
Philips lists 50 m² on a GB/T basis and 109 m² on an NRCC basis. These use different test assumptions. For Indian high-pollution sizing, calculate from CADR instead: 420 m³/h at 5 ACH supports roughly 84 m³, or about 28–31 m² with 9–10 ft ceilings.
Replacement filter availability
The product page names FY2200/30 but also shows no related spare parts. The India filters section lists older filters, not this one. Confirm availability and price with Philips India before buying.
Our take
Strong on data, strong on specs, one practical gap to watch
The AC2220 is one of the better-disclosed purifiers we have reviewed: CADR, noise, wattage, warranty, and ozone-safety statements are all published. The main things to resolve before buying are room sizing at 5 ACH and the FY2200/30 filter: confirm it is available in India and check the price.
