How to use this case study
This is now a range review rather than a single-product walkthrough. We compare all eight eligible Philips air purifiers currently present in the /find catalogue: from the ₹11,299 Silent Protect 900i to the ₹27,449 Silent Protect 4200 Dual Fan.
The same veto-first buying checklist is applied to every model. Numeric OEM CADR is required for sizing, activated carbon is required for gas and odour control, and no ioniser or UV-C stage may be present. Models that pass are scored out of 19; the optional in-stock point is not included.
The database also contains the cheaper AC0920/60, but it is excluded from /find because it is recorded as HEPA-only with no activated carbon. It is documented below rather than silently omitted.

Philips has eight active lane-A records in the /find database, including pairs of models that share a purifier family but differ in Wi-Fi availability or finish. We keep every record visible because the user is choosing a machine, not a brand family.
CADR is the clearest way to compare the range for Indian rooms. At the shared 10 ft ceiling and 5 ACH, the catalogue's 250–600 m³/h ratings translate to roughly 177 sq.ft.–424 sq.ft. before the Delhi-NCR multiplier. Use the result for the room you actually intend to clean rather than relying on a headline square-foot claim.

How we scored the range
Every row is evaluated using the current catalogue and the same 19-point checklist used by the Buying Checklist tool. The present Philips records all have numeric CADR, carbon, two-year warranty and no recorded ioniser/UV-C veto. NanoProtect receives partial HEPA credit. The catalogue records no numeric display flag for any Philips row; the Wi-Fi point is awarded only to rows whose wifi field is true.

Our read on the range
The Philips range separates into two practical groups. The 250–300 m³/h machines are the lower-cost choices for smaller rooms; the AC1715/60 adds the catalogue's Wi-Fi flag without increasing CADR. The 420–600 m³/h machines provide more room headroom at 5 ACH, with the AC3221/63 and AC4221/61 offering the highest CADR in the active range.
The score difference is not a judgement that the non-Wi-Fi variants clean less effectively. It reflects the checklist's optional smart-control point and the current catalogue flags. The larger models also cost more to run at maximum power and use more expensive replacement filters, so CADR should be matched to the room rather than treated as “more is always better”.
The main catalogue limitation is display data: no Philips row is currently flagged for a numeric AQI/PM2.5 display. If a product page confirms a display or app feature that the database does not record, update the catalogue first and then regenerate this comparison; do not silently make the post and /find disagree.
Size from CADR, not the headline
At 5 ACH and a 10 ft ceiling, the active Philips range covers approximately 177 sq.ft. to 424 sq.ft. by the shared calculation. For Delhi-NCR, apply the 1.25 multiplier when selecting a model.

The current database records no numeric display flag for any Philips model and Wi-Fi for five of the eight eligible rows. Those fields directly affect the /find ranking and the scores shown here, so verify any change against the OEM listing before relying on it.
Our take
A complete Philips range, with room size as the deciding factor
Philips offers a broad active range: the smaller 900i and 1000i models, the quiet 2200 pair, and the higher-CADR 3200 and 4200 models. Five models receive 16/19 because their catalogue rows include the Wi-Fi point; three receive 14/19. None is vetoed, while the AC0920/60 is excluded for lacking recorded activated carbon.
