How to use this case study
Nine models spanning ₹6,999 to ₹29,099. Two carry ionisers. Four carry UV-C LED. All nine are currently out of stock on the OEM site, and so are all the replacement filters. We scored every model on the same 20-point checklist framework as our earlier case studies, using only honeywellconnection.com.
Every verdict comes from honeywellconnection.com, product pages, Features sections, FAQ text, and the filters page. If it is not published there, it is scored as No or Partial.

What the scores tell us
The U1 scores highest at 16/20, the only model in the range with a confirmed VOC sensor, one of the quietest at 23 dB, and the highest CADR at 700 m³/h. The V1, V2, V3, V5, and P2 all land at 14/20 for different reasons. V4 and U2 both score 10/20. Both carry ionisers and UV-C LED, which are Avoid flags on our checklist.
The most important thing to understand about this entire range is the coverage claim basis. Every model's headline square footage figure appears to assume roughly 2 ACH. At 5 ACH, our minimum for high-pollution Indian cities, those figures halve. A machine rated for 589 sq.ft effectively covers about 355 sq.ft in Delhi conditions. Use the CADR number to size for your room, not the headline figure.
Filter pricing transparency is a genuine positive: Honeywell publishes filter costs openly on the OEM site, something most brands don't do. But all filters are currently OOS, which is a practical problem for existing owners and a reason for caution for new buyers.
V4 and U2: skip both
Both carry ionisers and UV-C LED, confirmed in their Features sections. An ioniser produces ozone as a byproduct. UV-C LED adds complexity without meaningful benefit over a well-sealed H13 HEPA filter. The V3 (₹9,299, CADR 300, no ioniser, no UV) is a cleaner and cheaper alternative to the V4. The U1 (₹24,799, CADR 700, no ioniser, VOC sensor, 23 dB) is better and ₹4,300 cheaper than the U2.
Everything is out of stock, including filters
All nine purifiers and all replacement filters show as "Sold out" on honeywellconnection.com at time of writing. If you own one of these machines and need a replacement filter, the OEM site cannot currently fulfil it. Filters may be available on Amazon India.
P1's power consumption
The P1 draws 82W for a CADR of 450 m³/h. The P2 delivers 550 m³/h at 50W. The U1 delivers 700 m³/h at 70W. The P1 uses roughly twice the electricity per m³/h of clean air compared to its siblings. At ₹16,299, spending ₹2,000 more for the P2 (app, Alexa, better CADR, far better efficiency) makes considerably more sense.
Model by model
Entry point, most power-efficient in the range
At 12W for CADR 152 m³/h, V1 is by far the most power-efficient machine here. H13 HEPA, filter indicator, child lock, sleep and auto modes all confirmed. Replacement filter at ₹1,549/year, lowest in the range. Best for small bedrooms up to ~130 sq.ft at 5 ACH. No app, no washable pre-filter, CADR without test standard.
Clean mid-entry, no extras, no problems
CADR 250, 32.5 dB, 47W, H13 HEPA, filter indicator, sleep and auto modes. Filter at ₹2,379/year. No ioniser, no UV-C. Child lock not confirmed on the product page. No app. At the sale price, straightforward value without the things you don't want.
5-stage filtration, separate carbon is a plus, 65W is a minus
V3 has the most complex filter stack in the value sub-range: H11 + H13 HEPA, Silver ION, carbon, and pre-filter across two compound units. CADR 300, 30 dB, child lock. The separate carbon unit can be replaced independently when saturated. 65W is high for 300 m³/h, factor into electricity costs. Filter replacement across three separate parts at ₹2,637/year requires ordering from the OEM site, which is currently OOS.
Skip, ioniser and UV-C both confirmed
V4 explicitly features both an ioniser and UV LED in its product description and Features list. Both are Avoid flags. At ₹11,999, the V3 (₹9,299, no ioniser, no UV, lower noise) is the better choice. Filter cost at ₹4,198/year, two separate compound filters, is also the highest in the value sub-range. The V4 has no redeeming feature that isn't matched or exceeded by the V3 or V5.
Best in the value range, 22 dB, app, highest CADR
22 dB (quietest in the entire range), CADR 380, Honeywell Air Touch app, Alexa, AQI LED display, H13 HEPA, child lock. Filter at ₹2,579/year. No ioniser, no UV-C. Wattage not listed on the OEM features page. At ₹10,199 sale price, one of the strongest value propositions in the range, if stock returns.
Platinum entry, good CADR, poor power efficiency, no app
CADR 450, 30 dB, H13 HEPA, child lock, no ioniser, no UV-C. Filter at ₹3,179/year. But 82W for 450 m³/h is the worst power efficiency in the range, roughly double the watts-per-m³/h of the P2. No app, no remote. The P2 is ₹2,000 more for a meaningfully better machine.
Strong performer, UV LED is the one flag
CADR 550, 23 dB, 50W, app + Alexa, child lock, H13 HEPA, filter indicator. Filter at ₹4,739/year. UV LED confirmed, which is an Avoid flag, but carries no ioniser. If you're considering the P2, the UV LED is primarily a marketing feature; the H13 HEPA does the meaningful filtration work. One of the better large-room options in the range at the sale price.
Best in range, VOC sensor, highest CADR, 23 dB
The only model with a confirmed in-built VOC sensor. CADR 700 m³/h (highest in the range), 23 dB, 70W, app + Alexa, child lock. UV LED confirmed, same flag as P2, no ioniser. Filter at ₹6,359/year. At 5 ACH, effective coverage is around 655 sq.ft, genuinely useful for a large living room.
Skip, ioniser, UV-C, 38 dB at low, and ₹11,026/yr in filters
The most expensive machine in the range and the hardest to recommend. Ioniser confirmed, UV LED confirmed, 38 dB at low speed (the noisiest in the range), and the most expensive filter stack at ₹11,026/year across four separate components plus a humidifier filter. The U1 (₹24,799) beats it on every practical measure: no ioniser, CADR 700 vs 650, 23 dB vs 38 dB, VOC sensor, ₹6,359/yr filters, and is ₹4,300 cheaper.
Our take
Transparent filter pricing, but two ranges to skip and a stock-out problem
The Honeywell Air Touch range is unusual for publishing filter prices openly on the OEM site, a transparency win. The U1 emerges as the most complete machine in the range, the V5 as the best value, and the V4 and U2 as the two to avoid because of ionisers and UV-C LED. The biggest practical issue is that every single product and filter is out of stock at time of writing. Confirm availability before buying, and verify service support given the importer-only model.
